CSR UAE Fund, the federal authority that governs corporate social responsibility and sustainability in the UAE, today concluded its activities for UAE Innovation Month 2021 – the CSR Survey and a discussion with MBA students at the British University in Dubai (BUiD).

CSR UAE Fund’s Board of Trustees has approved several new policies to develop the Fund’s mechanisms, ensure rapid implementation of initiatives, and thereby widen its impact and reach. During the first meeting since it was established in accordance with Resolution no. 18 of 2020, the Fund’s Board approved a set of guidelines and systems to measure and monitor community work and also announced the formation of four specialized committees that work under the board’s umbrella.

CSR UAE Fund hosted corporate social responsibility (CSR) and sustainability advocates from leading public and private entities in the UAE for its first round of CSR Talks, to engage the stakeholders on the methodology adopted for UAE CSR Index. The session was hosted in collaboration with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PWC).

Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation continues to provide humanitarian aid through the COVID-19 initiatives launched by CSR UAE Fund in partnership with the Foundation. The campaign received monetary and in-kind contributions that included thousands of items that were distributed to the beneficiaries.

CSR UAE Fund, the federal authority setting the framework, governance and reward for Corporate Social Responsibility in the UAE while managing and directing contributions from the business sector towards National Priority initiatives in line with the Sustainable Development Goals launches the COVID-19 IMPACT Framework, a guide that includes guiding principles for the private sector on how to deal with the global pandemic.

The Ministry of Culture and Knowledge Development, MoCD, has launched the "National Creative Relief Programme" to support creatives working in the cultural and creative industries sector to face the challenges caused by COVID-19.

The Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation has signed an electronic strategic partnership with the Corporate Social Responsibility UAE Fund, CSR UAE, to implement critical initiatives supporting the country's efforts in combatting the coronavirus under the pillars of Community Wellbeing, Health and Education.
